President Yoweri Museveni has advised musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, to invest in farming, with a specific focus on coffee growing.

The President met Alien Skin last night at State House. The meeting was facilitated by Ms Hellen Seku, the State House Commissioner for the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps (NSPC), who also serves as the President’s Private Secretary in charge of youth affairs.

Following the meeting, Alien Skin shared photos on his social media platforms, expressing excitement about the encounter. He captioned the post “Tekako Tutandike,” loosely meaning “We are just getting started,” suggesting optimism about the discussions he held with the President.

According to sources familiar with the meeting, President Museveni encouraged the musician to look beyond music and invest in agriculture as a sustainable source of income. He reportedly advised Alien Skin to plant coffee, describing it as one of Uganda’s most reliable and profitable cash crops.

Museveni is known for regularly encouraging young people, especially those with influence, to take part in wealth creation activities such as farming. He has often cited coffee as a crop with ready markets locally and internationally, and one that can help Ugandans build long-term financial stability.

Alien Skin, one of the fastest-rising musicians in the country, has a large youth following. His meeting with the President has sparked discussion online, with many seeing it as a sign of growing engagement between leaders and young creatives.

It remains to be seen whether the singer will take up the President’s advice, but his social media posts suggest he is open to exploring new opportunities beyond music.
