A woman identified as Shamim is nursing heartbreak after her highly anticipated marriage crumbled shortly after her introduction ceremony—an event she says she single-handedly financed.

Speaking in an emotional interview with a local YouTuber, Shamim recalled how she fell deeply in love with a young man who swept her off her feet and even proposed with promises of visiting her parents. The news caused excitement at home, with the family believing their daughter’s dream was finally coming true.

But her mother remained hesitant. According to Shamim, her mother warned her not to rush things, insisting she didn’t trust the young man and feared the marriage “would end in tears.”

As the ceremony approached, Shamim’s fiancé lost his job, leaving him unable to contribute financially. Determined to keep the moment alive, Shamim took on all the expenses, paying for the introduction from start to finish.

However, the joy was short-lived.

Shamim says that immediately after the ceremony, her husband’s behaviour changed drastically. He became disrespectful, violent and unfaithful. At one point, she discovered compromising photos he had taken and shared with another woman—an incident that left her in deep embarrassment and emotional turmoil.

Holding back tears in the interview, Shamim urged women not to rush into marriage out of excitement, especially with partners who are not yet stable.

> “Young men without financial stability often have no respect. Peer pressure drives them, and they’re not ready to settle down,” she warned.

Shamim now hopes her painful story will serve as a lesson to others who may be blinded by love and promises.
