Obongi – The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi district, Samuel Mpimbasa Hasaka, has assured the public that over 3.9 billion shillings has been released by the government to the district.
In a communication to the media on Friday evening, the RDC stated that the NRM government has allocated Obongi district local government three billion nine hundred forty-three million three hundred ninety-seven thousand nine hundred and nine shillings (3,943,397,909/=) as a cash release for the first quarter of the 2024/2025 financial year. It’s important to note that the first quarter runs from July to September 2024.
Detailed information about the over 3.9 billion shillings can be obtained from the offices of the RDC and District Internal Security Officer (DISO) in Obongi district.
The RDC commended the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Obongi district, Mr. Otim Humphrey Benson, for demonstrating transparency by sharing the cash release details with stakeholders. He encouraged all leaders and residents to inquire about the cash release and monitor how the funds are utilized for improved service delivery.
Nancy, a 49-year-old mother from Obongi district, praised the government for appointing a Chief Administrative Officer who is open to the community about government programs.
