Patrick Okidi, Apac – Police PRO North Kyoga Region, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, assured the public that the third day of police interviews in Apac District on May 8, 2024, was highly successful.
According to SP Okema, out of the 57 candidates who were shortlisted, 54 turned up for the interview, while 3 didn’t show up at the recruitment center at Apac Primary School.
During the address to the candidates, the team leader, CP Ssegiriinya Fredrick, asked the RDC of Apac, Mr. George Abdul, to speak to the candidates. Indeed, he encouraged the candidates to understand whether they had the passion to join the police force. He also emphasized the importance of discipline, highlighting that the police is a disciplined institution, and whoever goes through must be disciplined and work with honesty.
Later, a roll call was conducted, confirming that 54 candidates were present out of the 57 shortlisted. During the fitness test, one girl was rushed to APAC General Hospital after she fainted towards the end of a 5 km run. Luckily, she was managed well upon realizing that her sugar level had dropped. Her 53 colleagues continued with other steps of the interview, including medical examination, oral, and aptitude tests.
The entire exercise ended at 4:00 PM. The candidates were debriefed and advised to wait for their names, which will be sent through the DPC and various media outlets.
