Abba Marcus Mayanja has continued to reveal details about his father, Joseph Mayanja, also known as Dr. Jose Chameleone, this time accusing him of being involved in domestic violence instances. Recently, Abba shocked the nation by announcing that his father is currently suffering from acute pancreatitis caused by ongoing alcohol abuse.
Abba has now shared insights into the reasons behind his parents’ separation. It’s important to note that Chameleone and Daniella married in 2008, although they had been a couple for a longer period before that. Currently, they have four children together but live far apart.
Daniella has frequently taken to social media to disclose her experiences of enduring domestic abuse at the hands of the famous musician and his family. She has consistently stated that she and Chameleone are no longer together and will never reunite, despite not being officially divorced.
Abba has confirmed these allegations of abuse, stating that his father misused his authority by subjecting his mother to psychological, physical, and emotional torment. He also mentioned that his father’s family exacerbated the situation by supporting the abuse.
“Today, I want to talk about something that’s deeply personal and important: my parents’ separation. What many people don’t know is that their marriage ended because my mom survived domestic violence.
For years, she endured physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. The scars ran deep, and the pain was unbearable. But what’s even more heartbreaking is that my dad’s family never accepted my mom, making the situation even more unbearable,” be partly wrote on social media.
The teenager emphasized that victims of domestic violence do not make a choice to be in such situations. He explained that it is not that the victim is flawed or weak, but rather that they are trapped in a toxic relationship where the abuser chooses to exert their power.
He expressed immense pride in his mother for her resilience and bravery in overcoming this ordeal. Furthermore, he stated that his mother deserves love, respect, and appreciation.
Abba also offered words of encouragement to other victims of domestic violence, urging them to recognize that they are not alone and to persist in their fight for freedom.
