Thirty people were kidnapped on Thursday March 14 by armed men who have not yet been identified in the locality of Digba, located 45 km from Ango, capital of the territory of the same name, more than 500 kilometers north of Kisangani.
The incident occurred this Thursday around 1 a.m. (local time), reports the administrator of the Ango territory, Marcellin Lekabusia. Among those kidnapped, he details, are six girls and fourteen boys.
All were taken to an unknown destination by the attackers.
Furthermore, declares the same source, the latter also looted thirty-five houses and took away a lot of private property.
The local health center was not spared either. All the medical tools and medicines that were there were taken away.
During the night from last Sunday to Monday, armed men kidnapped three people in the locality of Gwane, still in the Sasa chiefdom. Two of them managed to escape from the hands of their captors and returned to their village.
Faced with this persistent insecurity, the administrator of the Ango territory continues to plead with the competent authorities in favor of strengthening the number of military personnel in this region.
