Businessman Kennedy Rapudo has issued a statement following his separation from Faith Makau, popularly known as Amber Ray. In a series of posts on his official Instagram account, Rapudo confirmed the separation, explaining that it was the result of an incident that occurred while both were intoxicated.
Rapudo emphasized that, like any other relationship, theirs had its ups and downs. He expressed remorse for the incident, stating, “It’s an event that should have never happened, and I feel very sorry and in deep regret that it happened mostly to the person that I swore to protect and love with all that I had.”
Rapudo questioned the public nature of their separation, asserting that it was an isolated incident and should not label him as a violent person. He stated, “One single isolated incident doesn’t mean that I’m a violent person. I’ve never been and I’ll never be!”
In his statement, Rapudo apologized to Amber Ray, the mother of his youngest daughter, saying, “I am man enough to admit when I’m in the wrong and on this particular incident, I was in the wrong but it doesn’t change who I am.” He pledged to continue raising his children and keeping family matters away from the media.
Amber Ray had earlier posted on social media, indicating that there were issues in their relationship. She mentioned feeling drained and emphasized her need to prioritize her peace and safety. While acknowledging challenges in her household, she expressed her intention to ensure her family’s well-being.
