DM Mall and MMG Logistics have successfully brought 25 Chinese factories to participate in the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, which commenced last Friday.
According to Hamid Idrissa Hamid, Director of DM Mall and MMG Logistics, these Chinese firms are set to showcase a diverse range of products and seek partnerships with local businesses.
“Our aim is to facilitate connections between locals and these firms, providing direct access to information about their products and potentially establishing joint ventures here in Dar es Salaam, rather than in Beijing,” Hamid explained.
The participating Chinese factories specialize in various industries including clothing, home appliances, telecommunications, solar equipment, footwear, machinery, beverages, generators, automobiles, food items, beauty products, and more.
Haruna Said, Marketing Manager at DM Mall and MMG Logistics, highlighted that their initiative aims to address the challenges faced by many local startups who find it difficult to travel to China for business opportunities.
DM Mall and MMG Logistics, operating for the past five years, have contributed to the local economy by employing approximately 35 locals.
One of the exhibitors, XY Cargo Feler Logistics Company, expressed their decision to participate in Sabasaba based on the country’s reputation as a safe and conducive environment for business operations.
