Alebtong, Uganda – The principal of St. Gracious School, Elem Leo, donated PRE-PLE examination sets to 76 schools in Alebtong district on Monday afternoon.
Addressing the headteachers who attended in large numbers, Elem said the examination sets for all four subjects in the PLE examination included marking schemes that teachers could use while marking the written PRE-PLE exams.
He explained that these PRE-PLE exams were of high quality, similar to the actual PLE final papers, and designed to help students prepare for the exam atmosphere. This approach aims to reduce exam anxiety by familiarizing students with the examination process, including candidate lineup procedures and pre-exam briefings.
Elem Leo expressed his passion for education and his desire to represent Alebtong as an MP. In an exclusive interview with the media, he announced his intention to contest for the Moroto County MP seat under the UPC party ticket in the 2026 general election.
Mr. Ocen George, the headteacher of Walela Primary School, commended Elem Leo for his generous contribution to supporting PLE candidates in Alebtong district.
The Chairperson of the Alebtong District Headteachers’ Association, Odwee Julius Peter, congratulated Principal Elem Leo for his commendable work and urged other headteachers to recognize his efforts.

A total of 3,999 candidates have registered for the 2024 PLE exams and are expected to familiarize themselves with the PRE-PLE exams distributed by Principal Elem Leo.
However, the District Inspector of Schools warned that all 3,999 PLE candidates must be required to sit for the examination in November 2024.
Obua Marthin Oloo, a teacher in Alebtong district, expressed his support for Elem Leo as a candidate for the Moroto constituency MP position in 2026. He praised Leo’s work ethic and commitment.
