The Bamasaaba cultural Leader His Highness Jude Mike Mudoma has received an honorary invitation from the chairperson of WE CARE FOR HUMANITY (WCH), an American philanthropic organization, to attend a fundraising extravaganza in the United States of America this month.
The event will be held along Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, as revealed to this publication by the spokesperson of the Bamasaaba cultural institution, Mr. Steven Masiga.
Masiga further said that His Highness will join other world cultural leaders to reflect on issues of climate change in their countries, education, economic development, healthcare, sustainable practices, and with extra focus on cultural space and humanity.
The Umukuka will meet other cultural delegations from China, the Orient, Europe, South America, and Africa, among others.
His Highness Jude Mudoma will be recognized and knighted for his roles in protecting the rights of children in his community and Uganda at large.
The prestigious two-day event is jointly organized by the chairperson of We Care for Humanity (WCH) and the embassy of the Philippines.
The invitation to the Bamasaaba cultural leader was extended by Her Royal Highness Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, the chairperson of the WCH.
His Highness Jude Mike Mudoma will be received at Las Vegas airport by the Bamasaaba cultural institution envoy for the United States and Canada, Hon. Florence Wakoko, and the Umukuka will be staying at the Gold Coast Hotel, a few inches from the venue of the ceremony.
The Umukuka III of the Bamasaaba people was gazetted in August last year, 2023, and such encounters with other world cultural leaders will help in lobbying for development agendas for his community.
He recently received 50 Masters and PhD scholarships from the United States of America and will donate them to the Bamasaaba people to further their education.
The University of Cape Town in South Africa also has extended ten scholarships to the Bamasaaba cultural institution to support education. Ibanda University has given half scholarships, Bukuka Masiga elucidated.
