Bobi Wine Commends Women’s Contributions in Belated Women’s Day Celebration

On March 28th, 2024, Bobi Wine, the leader of a the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP)political group, shared that they had celebrated International Women’s Day at their headquarters. He expressed gratitude to the Women’s League leadership for organizing the event, which aimed to recognize and appreciate the efforts of women striving to improve society.

In his message, Bobi Wine praised the women who are actively involved in advocating for freedom and democracy. He admired their resilience in the face of challenges such as intimidation and persecution. Bobi Wine also highlighted the historical significance of women in bringing about positive change, citing examples of past movements where women played pivotal roles.




Bobi Wine emphasized the importance of fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. He encouraged everyone to commit to promoting gender equality and ensuring that women have equal opportunities to participate in decision-making processes and contribute to the betterment of society.
