The Umukuka of the Bamasaaba people, His Highness Sir Jude Mike Mudoma, and his Teso counterpart, His Highness Sir Paul Sande Emolot, yesterday arrived at Entebbe International Airport aboard KLM flight services at 10:00 PM East African Time.
The delegation was received by the Prime Minister of the Bugisu cultural institution, Rt. Hon. Dr. Paul Mwambu, and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Dr. Clet Wandui, and Attorney Hon. Richard Masereje, among other dignitaries.
The spokesperson of the Bugisu cultural institution, Steven Masiga, told The Ankole Times publication that the cultural leaders had been in the United States of America following an invitation to each of them respectively to attend an international conference under We Care for Humanity International (WCH), which took place in Las Vegas, climaxing in their knighthood.
Steven Masiga further reported to The Ankole Times that the two cultural leaders were respectively knighted as “Sir” and now carry an extra title of “Sir,” which was awarded in line with their contributions to society.
The Chairperson of We Care for Humanity International (WCH), Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, described the duo during the award ceremony as dedicated leaders committed to the progress and well-being of their people. Other notable knights at the Seventh Extraordinary Summit included Kenyan Senator Hon. Karen Njeri Nyamu, Ms. Gloria Caiole, VP of the Filipino American Heritage Federation, and Dr. Nem Singh, World Chairman of the International Human Rights Organization.
Steven Masiga said that the cultural leaders traveled with their spouses, ministers in their cultural establishments, and equerries. His Highness the Umukuka will leave for Mbale tomorrow, where he is officially expected to address media houses on his American tour.
