EFC Uganda announced its strategic decision to close five of its business service centers as part of an effort to streamline its operations and collaborate more effectively with banking partners. EFC Uganda Limited, a microfinance institution regulated by the Bank of Uganda, did not specify additional reasons for the closures.

The affected service centers, namely Kireka, Mukono, Nateete, Kalerwe, and Nansana, will be closed on different dates. Kireka, Mukono, and Nateete are set to close on November 21, 2023, while Kalerwe and Nansana will cease operations on December 31, 2023. Despite these closures, EFC’s services will remain available through its cash handling branches located at Kamwokya Branch on EFC House, Plot 45 Kira Road, Kamwokya, and Ndeeba Branch at Master Wood Plaza, Masaka Road, Ndeeba.

Customers will also continue to have access to EFC’s Easy Mobile Platform, which allows deposits via MTN MoMo and Airtel Money, with full details provided on the EFC official website. Additionally, deposits can be made through partner banks.

EFC assures its customers that these options will ensure reliable and accessible banking services. For inquiries or further assistance, EFC’s customer support team is reachable at 0707-000-050 or through their website.

EFC remains committed to contributing to the growth of Uganda’s private sector by increasing access to financial services for Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs), as stated in the media release.
