In yet another community-focused initiative, Equity Bank collaborated with the Makerere University Petroleum & Geology Society and Total Energies for an environmental suitability campaign.

This week, the three organizations came together to clean Bwaise Market. In discussing this initiative, Equity Bank commended the project led by the students of Makerere University.

The campaign aimed to promote environmental sustainability, community welfare, and social responsibility. Equity Bank expressed its joy at being part of this initiative.

“Today, the Makerere Equity Leaders Program Chapter, in collaboration with Makere University Petroleum & Geology Society and Total Energies Uganda, joined hands to clean up Bwaise Market.

The initiative showcases the young scholars dedication to environmental sustainability, community well-being, and social responsibility.”

As a proponent of quality service in the banking sector, it is encouraging to see that the institution genuinely cares for the communities it serves. Unlike other companies that prioritize profit, Equity Bank Uganda has consistently engaged with communities to tackle their challenges.

This is neither the first community involvement nor will it be the last for the Bank. As a responsive and compassionate partner, Equity Bank embodies what it means to be a people-oriented company.

One of the notable initiatives of the institution has been the Equity Leaders Program, which supports a number of students across various universities in different fields. This month, the first cohort of graduates was honored, with many having developed skills in leadership and professional expertise through the mentorship of Equity Bank.

These graduates are anticipated to be influential contributors in their communities and toward the nation’s progress. The program continues, with additional students receiving support from Equity Bank.

In addition, the Bank is conducting several campaigns as the first academic term is underway. Teachers, parents, students, and other interested parties can visit the bank’s official channels for further information on these campaigns.
