Uganda Shilling Remains Stable with Low Activity on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the Uganda shilling began trading at levels of 3745/3755 and ended the day at 3748/3758. Throughout the day, the currency remained stable without significant fluctuations.

Absa reported that the overnight yields averaged at 10.25%, and the money markets exhibited reasonable liquidity.




During the trading session, the Bank of Uganda conducted a treasury bill auction. The yields for different tenors, such as the 91-day, 182-day, and 364-day, cleared at average rates of 9.310%, 12.362%, and 13.003%, respectively.
