Roofing Group has launched a sensitization campaign to educate consumers about their products and raise awareness about counterfeit materials, urging customers to invest in their standardized products.
Henry Kigozi, the Customer Care Manager at Roofing Group, shared with our reporter the company’s successful journey in the global market. The Ugandan-based company, situated in Kampala and owned by Ugandans, has emphasized the importance of quality assurance.
During an exclusive media briefing on Saturday, Kigozi cautioned customers about the prevalence of counterfeit materials in the current market. “We are actively campaigning against counterfeits by educating and sensitizing our people. We have proudly served Uganda for 29 years and remain committed to standing with Ugandans as they grow,” said Kigozi.
The Roofing Group pledged to provide high-quality materials, including iron sheets, iron bars, superior plastic pipes, and nails known for their durability, which they continue to supply in the market. Kigozi highlighted their competitive pricing strategy in Lira, offering some of the most affordable rates.
The Roofing Group highlighted convenient payment methods for customers, ensuring accessible purchase options and superior quality products. Kigozi expressed gratitude to customers from Northern Uganda, particularly from Gulu, Arua, Lira, and other parts of the region, who joined them in Lira during the recent Stanbic Bank market day held last Friday and Saturday.
Additionally, Roofing Group expands its market reach beyond Uganda, operating in neighboring countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Sudan, the DRC, and other East African countries.
The company also commended Stanbic Bank for organizing the successful Market Day, which concluded on Saturday at the Mayor’s Garden in Lira City.

Kigozi warned about the prevalence of counterfeit products in the market, emphasizing the potential risks to consumers. He mentioned issues such as rapid fading of colors on iron sheets and the weakness of iron bars, prevalent in products from other manufacturers that fail to meet industry standards.
Roofing Group’s headquarters and two of its manufacturing companies and factories are situated at Lubowa, along the Kampala-Entebbe road, with another located at the Namanve industrial park.
According to Kigozi, customers who purchase Roofings Group products are offered installment payment plans through bank accounts, providing greater financial flexibility.
Kigozi emphasized the company’s commitment to providing customers with clarity and empowerment in purchasing durable and genuine construction materials.
