Çelebi India has teamed up with Uganda Airlines to provide ground handling services in Mumbai, marking a significant development in India’s aviation sector.

Çelebi India, a leader in ground handling services, has joined forces with Uganda Airlines to deliver essential ground support at Mumbai’s airport. This partnership reflects Çelebi’s strong commitment to elevating the quality of aviation services in India and ensuring international standards for ground and cargo handling.

Uganda Airlines initiated its collaboration with Çelebi India by seeking support for the ground handling services of its inaugural direct flight from Entebbe to Mumbai on October 7, 2023. The airline has plans to expand its presence in India, with three weekly flights connecting Entebbe and Mumbai.

Tauseef Khan, CEO of Çelebi Ground Handling – India, expressed his enthusiasm about providing ground handling expertise to Uganda Airlines in Mumbai. He anticipates a long-lasting partnership as Uganda Airlines continues to establish itself in India and is dedicated to offering seamless services to support India’s aviation growth.

Jenifer Bamuturaki, the CEO of Uganda Airlines, is proud of the role their airline plays in strengthening business and commercial ties between India and Uganda. By introducing direct flights from Entebbe to Mumbai, Uganda Airlines aims to expand its network to other cities in India. She also extended her congratulations to Çelebi India for supporting the growing demand for air passenger and cargo services in India.

Çelebi India is known for its dedication to sustainability in the Indian ground handling industry. The company actively supports the Indian aviation sector in achieving carbon neutrality. As part of its sustainability initiatives, Çelebi India has introduced eco-friendly services, including 100% electric, air-conditioned tarmac coaches, electric baggage and cargo towing tugs, taxi-bots, and bridge-mounted equipment services.
