Suzanne Somers, the famous actress from the 1970s TV show “Three’s Company,” has died at the age of 76. Her passing occurred in the early hours of Sunday, the day before her 77th birthday, while she was at home with her family. Her long-time publicist, R. Couri Hay, confirmed her death.

Rather than celebrating her 77th birthday on October 16th, her family gathered to remember her remarkable life and expressed gratitude to her millions of devoted fans and followers. Although the cause of her death was not immediately disclosed, her publicist mentioned that Suzanne Somers had successfully battled an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.

Her family is planning a private burial for Somers later this week, with a memorial service to follow next month. In July, she had shared on Instagram that her breast cancer had returned and commented on the challenges of facing it. She was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and had also dealt with skin cancer. She faced some criticism for advocating a chemical-free and organic lifestyle as part of her strategy to combat cancer.
