Christians in Katakwi have been urged to promote peace and coexistence within their families.
Simon Peter Obelekek, the head catechist of St. Stephen Catholic Parish in Katakwi District, delivered this message during the holy sacrament conducted at Osudan Catholic Church in Katakwi sub-county yesterday.
Seventy-six children were baptized from the churches in Aloogok, Osupa, Osudan, and Aputon.
In Other news, The MP for Ngariam County and current Minister of State for Education and Sports, Peter Ogwang, contributed 1.3 million shillings towards the activity.
Hon. Viola Akurut, the District Woman Aspirant for the parliamentary seat, donated 10 bags of cement for the church’s construction and provided soap for the 76 children being baptized.
