KCCA FC Head Coach Abdallah Mubiru remains cautious about suggesting that the club has returned to its peak performance, despite securing consecutive victories against SC Villa, UPDF, and URA FC. The team’s recent 3-2 win against URA FC extended their winning streak to four games under Mubiru’s leadership.

Mubiru took over as head coach in November, succeeding Portuguese coach Sergio Daniel Traguil, who was dismissed in October due to poor results. KCCA FC had a challenging start to the season, failing to secure a single victory in the Uganda Premier League.

Since Mubiru’s arrival, KCCA FC has shown improvement, securing at least 15 points out of a possible 21 in the seven Premier League games he has managed. The recent string of victories has sparked speculations about the club’s potential return to its previous success.

However, Mubiru refrains from direct comparisons, emphasizing that he is focused on building the foundation he inherited. He highlights the importance of continuous hard work to maintain positive results and suggests that the team is in the process of regaining its form.

In the match against URA FC, KCCA FC twice came from behind in a thrilling five-goal encounter. Left-back Herbert Achai and striker Muhammad Shaban played crucial roles in securing the remarkable comeback victory.

URA FC Head Coach David Obua acknowledged that his team played well but admitted that they became emotional after conceding an own goal, which significantly impacted the outcome of the match.
