Coach Byekwaso Announces Final 24 Player Squad for Mali and Zambia Friendly Matches

The team is set to depart from Uganda on Tuesday morning, boarding Ethiopian Airways for their journey. The match against Mali is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 13th, at Stade du Mars in Bamako. Following this, the team will travel to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where they will face Zambia on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, at Hamriya Stadium.

Uganda Cranes’ Interim Head Coach, Morley Byekwaso Ochama, has unveiled the complete roster of players who will represent the team in the upcoming international friendly matches against Mali and Zambia. The squad comprises 24 players who were carefully selected after a strenuous four-day training session held at East High, Kisasi.

The team is scheduled to depart from Uganda on Tuesday morning at 2 am, boarding an Ethiopian Airways flight. Their first challenge will be against Mali, which is set to take place on Friday, October 13th, at the Stade du Mars in Bamako. After this match, the team will head to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where they will face Zambia on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, at the Hamriya Stadium.




While the defenders Abdu Aziizi Kayondo and Halidi Lwaliwa will be traveling with the squad from Uganda, the remaining foreign-based players will join the team from their respective clubs.
