Museveni Unveils Modern Judiciary Headquarters

On April 18th, 2024, Yoweri K Museveni officially commissioned the newly constructed Supreme Court and Court of Appeal buildings at the Judiciary Headquarters in Kampala.

President Museveni extended his congratulations to both the Judiciary and the government of Uganda for their collaboration in funding and overseeing the construction of these modern facilities using public funds. He emphasized that the completion and commissioning of these buildings affirm the message of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), highlighting the capacity to achieve ambitious goals through effective planning and prioritization.




Asserting the government’s commitment to improving the judicial system, President Museveni reiterated its target of increasing the budget allocation for the court system to Shs800 billion. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all citizens have access to justice and pledged to collaborate closely with the Chief Justice to prioritize this objective.
