Ex-Tororo Headteacher Killed in Arson Attack

Joseph Olokojjo, the former headteacher of St Peter’s College Tororo, has died after being set on fire by unknown assailants. The incident occurred at Olokojjo’s home, according to reports received by The Ankole Times.




Olokojjo, who had also served as the deputy headteacher at Tororo Girls School, was attacked late at night. Local residents report that Olokojjo heard footsteps outside his home and went outside to investigate. As he stepped into the compound, the attackers doused him with petrol and ignited the fuel.




Following the attack, Olokojjo was rushed to St Anthony Hospital in Tororo. Due to the severity of his injuries, medical staff referred him to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital. Despite these efforts, Olokojjo died on the way to Mulago National Referral Hospital in Kampala, where he was being transferred for further treatment.




Attempts to obtain a comment from the police on the ongoing investigation have been unsuccessful as of the time of reporting.
