Shocking Baby Murders Under Investigation in Wakiso and Mityana

Racheal Kawala, the police spokesperson for Wamala region, confirmed that investigations into Namuyomba's murder are underway. Three suspects have been apprehended for questioning as part of the ongoing inquiry.

The Ugandan police have initiated investigations following the tragic murders of two babies in separate incidents in Wakiso and Mityana districts.

Victims Identified

The victims have been identified as Samali Namuyomba from Nsangi in Wakiso district, and Abbas Mulindwa from Mityana district. Namuyomba, aged two, was reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday and later found murdered. Mulindwa, aged three, was kidnapped on Wednesday under similar circumstances and also tragically killed.




Police Response and Investigations

Racheal Kawala, the police spokesperson for Wamala region, confirmed that investigations into Namuyomba’s murder are underway. Three suspects have been apprehended for questioning as part of the ongoing inquiry.




Similarly, Rogers Chebene, the Officer in Charge (OC) at Nsangi police station, disclosed that investigations into Mulindwa’s murder have commenced. Three individuals have been detained for interrogation regarding this heartbreaking incident.

In light of these distressing events, police authorities have urged parents and guardians to exercise vigilance and closely monitor their children. They emphasized the alarming frequency of such cases and the need for heightened community awareness and cooperation.
