Mitooma Man Found Dead on Road, Police Investigate

Police in Mitooma are investigating the death of a 63-year-old man, Bahweza Geofrey, whose body was discovered on a road in Kirera, Kashenshero on Friday, February 14, 2025.

Geofrey, a resident of Kirera, was last seen at a local trading center around 10 pm. His body was found later that night by passersby, who alerted the police.




A team led by ASP Etap, Officer in Charge of Kashenshero Police Station, responded to the scene and found Geofrey’s body lying in the road, surrounded by stones and sticks.




A postmortem examination conducted at Mitooma Health Center IV Mortuary determined that the cause of death was assault with blunt objects.




Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, SSP Marcial Tumusiime, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators and determine their motive.

Police are aware of previous reports of murders and violent crimes in the Mitooma area and are committed to ensuring justice is served in this case.
