Mob Kills Suspected Serial Robber in Bushenyi; Police Launch Investigation

BUSHENYI, Uganda – Police in Bushenyi District have launched investigations into the suspected mob killing of a man identified only as Chris. The incident occurred on the night of November 20, 2025, in Katungu Cell, Ishaka Division.

According to SP Apollo Tayebwa, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, officers responded promptly to the scene, processed it, and transported the body to Kitagata Hospital mortuary.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Preliminary findings suggest that Chris was a known organized criminal linked to several aggravated robberies. Police reports indicate that he had 15 victims between July and October 2025 and was on their wanted list.

“Investigations are ongoing to arrest those involved in the unlawful killing. The public is urged to provide any information that may aid the inquiry. Updates will be communicated as new developments emerge,” SP Tayebwa said.
