Police in Sheema district are currently searching for the assailant(s) responsible for the death of a 52-year-old man in Nyamambo 2 cell, Kasana Sub-county.
The deceased, identified as Namara Wilson, was a resident of the same area. His body was discovered with severe cuts on the neck, stomach, and intestines, with his flat plastic shoes found nearby.
According to reports, Namara Wilson left his home on February 18th to visit Mishenyi trading center for leisure. He did not return home until February 19th around 2 pm, when his body was found lying in a farm in the same village by children gathering firewood.
Upon receiving the information, the police visited the scene with a team of detectives, alongside K9 and SOCO units, to gather evidence and record statements for further investigation. The body of the deceased was subsequently taken to Kitagata hospital for postmortem examination.
Efforts to identify and apprehend suspects were underway at the time of reporting, as confirmed by SSP Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson.
