The Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic Centre, where Kabaka Mutebi is undergoing treatment, is situated on a sprawling 5000-hectare property. The facility specializes in the Okonguarri method of treatment, which has demonstrated effectiveness in addressing various mental health conditions such as depressive disorders, anxiety-related disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD).

According to sources, Kabaka Ronald Mutebi is set to be transferred from the Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic Centre in Namibia to another undisclosed facility as part of his ongoing recovery process.

Sources close to the kingdom have revealed that there is a desire for the Kabaka to experience a stress-free environment, away from the constant attention of cameras and inquiries into his health.

It is understood that the kingdom is making arrangements to move the Kabaka to another African country by the end of the current week. However, the specific location has not been disclosed at this time.

“The Kabaka requires more privacy during his recovery. While he is doing well, it’s important for him to have a peaceful rest,” stated one source. “This is why plans are in place to relocate him from Okonguarri.”

Kabaka Mutebi had been transferred to Okonguarri in April from Germany, where he had been receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment. He has spent over 60 days at the expansive facility, which spans 5,000 hectares.

The facility, owned by German psychologist Herman Raath, was recommended by the Kabaka’s medical team in Germany.

Since recent media reports on the Kabaka’s whereabouts, there has been heightened interest in his health and well-being.

It has been reported that the facility has been inundated with inquiries about the Kabaka’s condition from both Ugandans and individuals from other countries.

A planned visit by a group of clan leaders to see the Kabaka has reportedly been canceled for the upcoming week.

Behind the Scenes: Kabaka Mutebi’s Treatment in Namibian Facility

His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, the revered Kabaka of Buganda, has reportedly spent 55 days receiving medical care at a private facility in Namibia, Southern Africa.

The 69-year-old Kabaka, who has experienced bouts of ill health and has sought medical attention in Germany in the past, embarked on his journey to Namibia in April. This trip coincided with the period leading up to his annual birthday run, signaling a departure from his usual engagements.

According to Namibia’s Ambassador to Germany, Martin Andjaba, the Kabaka’s stay in Namibia has extended close to three months, with him undergoing treatment at the Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic Centre in the Outjo area of the Kunene Region.

In response to inquiries regarding the Kabaka’s presence in Namibia, Ambassador Andjaba clarified that Kabaka Mutebi was not being held against his will but had willingly sought medical treatment in the country. He further indicated that the Namibian authorities were open to facilitating visits from delegations, provided that proper immigration procedures were followed.

Speculations and rumors surrounding the Kabaka’s health have circulated widely, with some individuals accusing Buganda’s Prime Minister, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga, of withholding information about the Kabaka’s condition. However, Mayiga has consistently maintained that the Kabaka’s health matters are private and should be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Responding to inquiries from Buganda’s subjects and officials, Mayiga reiterated that the Kabaka was still abroad for medical consultations and would return only upon receiving clearance from his doctors.
