After the Bugisu cultural leader, His Royal Highness Jude Mike Mudoma, constituted his cabinet and envoys, we hereby shed light on the individuals he will closely work with for the next five years until 2028. This service is extended to the Bamasaaba community in both Kenya and Uganda, including those in the diaspora and other parts of Uganda, such as Busoga, and those relocated to Kiryandongo, numbering over 15 million.
We have compiled biographical data and working experience for each appointee.
- Hon Walimbwa Charles Peke Masolo: Appointed as the Prime Minister by Umukuka III, serving the Bamasaaba. He is 68 years old, previously serving as LCV chairman for both Manafwa and Mbale districts. Also, the NRM chairman for Manafwa, he was Uganda’s ambassador to India, holding a diploma in diplomacy from India.
- Hon Clet Wandui: Holds a Ph.D. and is involved in government-related projects, particularly in silk production and research. Appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Research and Innovations.
- Hon Vincent Woboya: The immediate Member of Parliament for Budadiri East, aged about 53, holds a degree in social sciences from Makerere University and a master’s degree. Previously, he served as Deputy CAO in Bududa and as the Principal Disaster Officer in the Office of the Prime Minister.
- Mr. Steven Masiga: Director of Makerere University Mbale branch and lecturer. Holds a degree in education from Makerere University, a master’s degree in public administration, another degree in laws, and is a Ph.D. student. Actively involved in various fields, he is the chairman of Bukasajja Health Centre IV in Mbale City.
- Mr. Ahamada Washaki: Resident District Commissioner for Kumi, holding a degree in social sciences. Appointed as an ambassador in charge of mediations, approximately 62 years old.
- Mr. Kuloba Sam: Immediate Commissioner in the Ministry of Education, in charge of the secondary section, aged 61. Previously served as the headteacher of Mbale SSS and holds a degree in education from Makerere University.
- Hon. Woboya Vincent: The immediate Member of Parliament for Budadiri East, holding a degree in social sciences from Makerere University and a master’s degree. Appointed Minister for Disaster and Emergencies at 54.
- Mr. Watulastu Samuel Wanendeya: Aged 52, holds a degree in social sciences from Makerere University and a master’s in organizational leadership. Appointed as an envoy for global and strategic partnership.
- Mr. Ahamada Wamusitu: Aged about 74, appointed in charge of cultural relations with orient countries. Previously served as a councilor in Buyobo to Mbale District local government.
- Mr. Richard Masereje: Appointed as the Attorney General, holding an LLB degree and a postgraduate diploma from LDC, with involvement in legal services for some time.
- Mr. Meru Patrick: Councilor for Bubita Subcounty in Bududa, holding an O-level certificate. Appointed Deputy Minister and Minister for Local Government.
- Mr. Wamimbi Domiano: A trained agriculturalist, appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer of Bugisu Cultural Leadership.
- Dr. Namome: Appointed as Minister for Health.
- Mr. Masaba Andrew: Appointed Minister for Finance.
- Mr. Kalid Mansa: Appointed Minister for Security, holding an O-level certificate.
- Mr. Paul Mwambu: Commissioner in the Ministry of Agriculture, holding a master’s degree in agriculture from Makerere University.
- Mr. Kutoi Moses: The Mayor of Nabumali Town Council and a teacher by training. Appointed Minister for Arts and Culture.
- Mr. Simon Peter Wananzofu: Former LCV Chairman Bulambuli and Member of Parliament. Appointed Minister for Trade.
- Retired Bishop Patrick Gidudu: Immediate Bishop Mbale Diocese. Appointed in charge of interculture and religious affairs.
- Miss Ritah Namuwenge: Appointed Minister for Gender. A graduate of IUIU and national coordinator of EMYOOGA, a fund meant to lift the welfare of youths under State House.
- Mr. Musamali Gerosom: Appointed Minister for Media and Information.
- Mr. Allan Makweta: Appointed Minister for Sports. Holds a degree from UCU Mbale and is in his late 30s.
- Mr. Kenneth Wogisha: Minister for Tourism.
- Mr. Wabuyi Difasi: Appointed Minister for Lands, aged 70.
- Mr. Wambede Richard: Former RDC, appointed as Minister for Umukuka’s Office.
- Madam Irene Manghali: Former Deputy RDC Manafwa. Appointed ambassador in charge of mobilization, aged 60.
- Mr. Mashate: Appointed as an envoy in charge of government programs.
- Mr. Watila Wilson: Former LCV Chairman Bududa. Appointed as Chairman Imbalu and Culture Board, aged 59.
- Dr. Kosea Wambaka: Holds a Ph.D. in management and is appointed as Chairman in charge of planning and sustainable development.
- Mr. Wadada Davison: Envoy in charge of fundraising.
- Prof. Kere: Appointed in charge of diaspora affairs among the Babukusu of Bamasaaba origin from Kenya.
- Dr. Hon Wokholi Sylvester: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Cooperation.
- Dr. Wache: Appointed as a special envoy for Bamasaaba under the Kenyan chapter.
- Mr. Phillip Wanyonyi Wekesa: In charge of resource mobilization under the Kenyan chapter.
- Mr. Bernard Nyongesa: Appointed Governance Mobilizer under the Kenyan chapter.
- Mr. Joseph Waningilo: Appointed Coordinator Babukusu.”
