The Dokolo District Woman MP, Hon. Sarah Aguti Nyangkori, has flagged off and commenced a massive distribution of basins to pregnant mothers in the district. She started donating basins at various health centers across all 14 sub-counties, including town councils.
Addressing the media on Friday afternoon, MP Nyangkori announced the launch of the distribution of 8,400 basins for all expectant mothers in Dokolo district to improve safe delivery. She specified that 600 basins would be allocated per sub-county to benefit expectant mothers.
One woman, Winne Akello, a 30-year-old from Amwoma parish, praised MP Nyangkori for her leadership and focus on promoting healthy deliveries.
Atyang Susan from Dokolo town council expressed her gratitude for the basins, noting how MP Nyangkori had relieved her of the burden of purchasing one during her pregnancy.
Acio Joan, a resident of Dokolo town council, commended Aguti for her efforts in distributing the basins and described her as a compassionate leader deserving of reelection in 2026.
Aguti Sarah pledged to continue spearheading development initiatives in Dokolo district, focusing on sectors such as health and education.
Meanwhile, a man named Bosco from Adok sub-county congratulated the Woman MP for her dedicated efforts in advancing development in the region.
