Primary seven learners from all government-Aided and private schools in Dokolo district are set to sit for pre-mock examinations donated by Hon. Sarah Aguti Nyangkori. Hon. Sarah Aguti Nyangkori, Woman Member of Parliament for Dokolo district, has taken the initiative to support PLE performance in Dokolo district.
“Each term, I give three times, and I want to improve education in Dokolo in both government-aided and private schools,” said Nyangkori.
The examination sets donated by Hon. Nyangkori were distributed across all 14 sub-counties of Dokolo district, including the town councils, and received by the headteachers of all the schools. According to Hon. Sarah Aguti Nyangkori, the examinations are meant to prepare and improve pupils’ performance, especially those who are set to sit for their final exams (PLE), so they can compete with their counterparts at the national level.
The legislator noted that she brought these examinations early enough so that even weak learners can start the journey to excellence, as practice makes perfect. Hon. Sarah stressed the need to invest in education so that the young and energetic generation of Dokolo can create new forms of survival. She emphasized that such examinations are an opportunity for learners to get exposed to new question techniques that would help them excel in their final year examinations.
D.L. Okello, the Inspector of Schools, said it is difficult for a pupil in a private school to miss lessons or such exams because parents want accountability for their fees, unlike in government schools. He hailed Hon. Sarah Aguti Nyangkori for her vision through such an examination. The headteachers, who couldn’t hide their happiness, welcomed Hon. Sarah and promised to support her overwhelmingly, asking her to deliberate on their well-being.
Cons Okabo Opio, the headteacher of Alwitmac P/S, said that the exams received will improve the performance of learners. The function was also graced by the Deputy RDC of Dokolo, Mr. Masaba, who narrated to the headteachers that Hon. Aguti’s hand in education is immeasurable and a chance for them to assess their learners in preparation for better grades at the end of the year.
The exams were prepared and distributed by TARGET EXAMINERS. Meanwhile, Hon. Aguti is also slated to donate another set of exams to candidates again very soon.
