Easy Birdies Golf Academy (EBGA) is on a mission to introduce golf to schoolchildren in Kampala and Entebbe, aiming to foster an interest in the sport from a young age.
Hannington Mpiima, the executive director of the academy, notes a growing enthusiasm for golf among the youth. Established in late 2023, EBGA’s primary goal is to impart golf skills to young players.
Mpiima expresses enthusiasm about EBGA’s establishment, highlighting its role in nurturing young talents towards professional golf careers.
EBGA operates sanctioned programs at Entebbe Club, Uganda Golf Club, and Lake Victoria Serena Golf Club and Resort, in addition to collaborating with the US Kids Program.
Under the guidance of professionals such as national team coach Flavia Namakula, Brian Toolit, Becca Mwanja, Irene Nakalembe, and Henry Lujja, the academy organizes regular clinics for students during holiday periods.
