The Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB) has confirmed that the November–December 2024 assessment results will be released this week, either on Thursday or Friday, according reports yet to be confirmed.

These results, which were initially expected between late March and early April 2025, are now scheduled for official release later this week.

In an official statement shared on its X account (formerly Twitter), the board wrote:

“The examination results for November/December will be released soon. Top of the list is the release of the Nov/Dec 2024 results. Keep posted.”

A total of 114,954 candidates registered for the November/December 2024 end-of-year Certificate and Diploma programs.

UVTAB, formerly known as the Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB), is a newly established national Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) assessment body.

It was created through the TVET Act No. 3 of 2025, which merged UBTEB and the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT).

The board became operational following the TVET Act (Commencement) Instrument 2025 No. 25, on March 15, 2025.

UVTAB’s mandate, drawn from Section 77(5) of the TVET Act, includes assessing and certifying competencies acquired through both formal and informal TVET education pathways.

This structural reform is part of a broader government initiative to merge public agencies and reduce expenditures in response to economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
