Renowned Ugandan female music artiste, Juliana Kanyomozi, has stated that she is not inclined to engage in music battles with fellow artistes currently. She acknowledges the trend of artists participating in music battles but believes that, at her current stage, she has outgrown such contests.

Kanyomozi expressed her perspective on the matter, saying, “This business of who beats who, I think I am beyond that.” She further emphasized that she has no intention of undermining other artistes but feels that she has nothing left to prove to anyone.

Responding to questions from reporters about the recent battle between fellow artistes Cindy Sanyu and Sheebah Karungi, Kanyomozi suggested that such battles may primarily be driven by financial considerations. She acknowledged the financial benefits for the artists involved, stating, “Battling is a money-making thing; it is a business.” She also noted that her colleagues might have significantly benefited financially from their battle.

Kanyomozi mentioned age as another factor influencing her decision to take a step back from music battles, stating, “Some of us are now a bit laid back in that area.”

These comments from Kanyomozi come as anticipation builds for a potential showdown between Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool, with reports suggesting that negotiations are underway and organizers may offer each artist a substantial fee of Shs. 2 billion for the event.
