The 7th edition of the renowned beer and food festival, Oktoberfest, is set to take place at Cricket Oval Lugogo in Kampala on October 28th. Festival organizer Denis Asiimwe made this exciting announcement during the launch event held at The Villa in Bukoto.

After a hiatus, Oktoberfest returns with a Drunch edition, promising a day filled with music, entertainment, delectable food, and, of course, a wide selection of quality beers. According to Asiimwe, this year’s Oktoberfest is expected to be bigger and better, offering an unforgettable experience for attendees.

This year’s Oktoberfest will feature a Drunch concept, which blends lunch and drinks. The gates will open at midday, allowing people to enjoy both lunch and the lineup of performances.

The festival’s headliners include the legendary Jose Chameleone, the talented Cindy Sanyu, and Abeeka band. Fresh talents like Kohen Jaycee, Izabel Ug, Ras B Ssali, Dolv Gvng, and Chevank Badcitizen will also grace the stage.

One notable change for this year’s Oktoberfest is the expanded venue at Cricket Oval Lugogo, ensuring there’s ample space for everyone to partake in the festivities.

The event is sponsored by various organizations, including Nile Special, Brussels Airlines, Stanbic Bank, Galaxy FM, Uvotam, Rx Radio, Ranchers Finest, Radio City, NBS TV, Pepsi, The Villa, The Maze, The Germany Cultural Society, and Sew Bantu.

Beyond music and beer, Oktoberfest will host exciting beer contests, live music performances, and a dress competition for the best Oktoberfest outfit, including dirndls and lederhosen. The winner of the dress competition will have the opportunity to win a ticket to Europe, courtesy of Brussels Airlines.

Early bird tickets are available for Shs 30,000, while gate prices will be Shs 40,000 for Stanbic’s Flexi Pay users and Shs 50,000 for cash payments.
