Patrick Okidi, Agago – Former Woman MP for Agago, Hon. Judith Akello Franka, has described the late Odoch Richard Poromoi as a very polite and dedicated civil servant who served Pader, Dokolo, Lamwo, and other districts admirably during his career.

“It was a great shock to me when I received the sad news of Poromoi’s demise. I was just with him at the burial of the late mother of Oketayot in Pajule recently. Death is a deceiver, a thief, and it steals in seconds. Just like my brother last week, who passed away seconds after asking me to bring him water to drink. Before I could hand him the water, his breath stopped. I will surely miss Poromoi. He was a diligent servant, down-to-earth, always had a smile on his face, peaceful, very professional, and a hardworking individual,” said Akello Franka.

According to Akello Judith Franka, Odoch worked with her from 2006 until the time he was posted outside Pader and Agago District.

“It’s so sad that we find ourselves in this situation, mourning the untimely demise of Mr. Odoch Poromoi. My condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with his family. My sincere condolences to all of us his relatives and friends, as he has been a mentor to many young people in Agago and Pader District as a whole,” said Franka. “Rest in peace, my dear brother. You will always be remembered for all the good things you did while alive. We will meet again in the Lord.”

At the time of his death, Odoch Poromoi was serving as the Deputy CAO of Lamwo District. Arrangements are underway for his respectful send-off, and The Ankole Times Newspaper will keep you updated.

MHSRIP. Amen.
