Rusoke Kituuma, recently appointed as the Uganda Police Force’s new spokesperson, succeeding Fred Enanga, has pledged to strengthen support and enhance communication between the Police Force and the public.

In his inaugural address on Monday, July 8, Kituuma underscored his commitment to transparency and effective communication strategies.

“I am dedicated to fostering a strong partnership between the Police Force and the community,” he affirmed. “Our communication will be open, honest, and aimed at building trust with the public.”

Kituuma emphasized his open-door policy, inviting citizens and media representatives to engage actively with the Police Force.

“I believe in open dialogue and accessibility. My office will always be open to address concerns and provide information,” he assured.

Bringing extensive experience to his new role, Kituuma previously served as a District Police Commander and later as a Regional Police Commander at Old Kampala Police Station and Rwizi Region, respectively. His tenure in the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in 2013 provided him with valuable insights into both operational and strategic aspects of law enforcement.

Acknowledging his predecessor, Fred Enanga, for his service and dedication, Kituuma pledged to build upon Enanga’s efforts to further strengthen the relationship between the Police Force and the community.

“My primary goal is to ensure that our communication remains clear, timely, and informative. I look forward to collaborating closely with all stakeholders to achieve this,” Kituuma concluded during his address at the Police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala.
