In a recent event, the esteemed finance committee of the Parliament of Uganda and representatives from the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) paid a visit to Nile Breweries at their Jinja brewery. The purpose of their visit was to examine the company’s commitment to following tax regulations, including the use of EFRIS and Digital Tax Stamps.
During their tour, Nile Breweries’ Managing Director, Adu Rando, arranged a discussion session where they talked about the brewery’s significant economic impact. They also explored ways to potentially improve tax revenue, such as reducing the cost of digital tax stamps and increasing efforts to combat illegal alcohol trade.
