In an event brimming with joy and attended by thousands, Hon. Katusiime Annet Mugisha launched the “Burungibwansi” road clearance campaign in Numba parish, Bumbaire subcounty, Bushenyi district, Uganda.
The event aimed to clear the Katonya-Kiyaga road and saw attendance from residents of Numba central, Nyakabirizi, and Nyaruzinga villages.
Hon. Mugisha expressed her gratitude to her husband, Dr. Silver Mugisha, the Managing Director of NWSC, for his unwavering support throughout her political journey. She also thanked her voters for their immense support and promised to continue working tirelessly for community development.
The event celebrated several achievements, including the renovation of Kabushaho Seed School, classroom construction at Kabushaho Primary School, playground development at Kabushaho Seed School, and the ongoing construction of the Nyaruzinga-Kitabi road.
Hon. Mugisha emphasized the importance of community development and encouraged residents to embrace savings groups, promising to invite a finance expert to provide further guidance on financial matters. She also donated ten plastic chairs to Numba Pentecostal Church to support their fundraising efforts.
The event concluded with Hon. Mugisha rewarding all eleven villages in Numba parish with a spade and a shovel each to aid in their feeder road community service.
