Kabale District Woman MP aspirant, Hon. Ninsiima Immaculate Tracy, has supported two schools in Katuna Town Council with meals ahead of the upcoming Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
The beneficiary schools are Mukarangye Primary School and Divine Mercy Primary School, both located in Kabale District.
Addressing the media after delivering the support, Hon. Ninsiima said the initiative is part of her continued commitment to national development and improving education standards in the district. She provided funds to each school to offer Primary Seven pupils a special breakfast of eggs and milk during the two days of their examinations.
Hon. Ninsiima emphasized her determination to create a conducive learning environment that promotes better performance and success among pupils. She noted that many children in the area come from humble families that struggle to provide special meals during critical times like national exams.
She further revealed plans to introduce sustainable, locally sourced meal programs aimed at supporting education and community development, with intentions to expand the initiative to other schools in the near future.
The head teachers of the beneficiary schools commended Hon. Ninsiima for her thoughtful gesture, saying it would motivate pupils and ease the burden on parents. They highlighted that many learners often miss lunch due to long distances to school and limited household income, making this support timely and impactful.
