The InzM Ya masaba Prime Minister, Dr. Paul Mwambu, will lead a delegation of Inzuyamasaba ministers and other Bamasaba to Bungoma, Kenya, tomorrow.
This was revealed by the Inzu ya Masaba spokesperson, Mr. Steven Masiga, who told this publication that Dr. Mwambu and the Inzu ya Masaba cabinet will represent the Umukuka III during the burial of Professor George Fungo Chenge in Bungoma, Kenya.
Professor Fungo, a Kenyan of Ugandan origin, served for a long time as the Chairman of the Babutu clan of both Kenya and Uganda. He was also a well-known history professor at both Nairobi and Moi universities. Professor Fungo will be laid to rest on Saturday in Bungoma County.
Offering his condolences, the Bamasaba Cultural Leader, who is currently in the United States of America, used his Twitter handle to convey his sympathies to the family of the deceased professor and prayed for their strength.
The Honorable Irene Khainza Manghali has been assigned by Inzuyamasaba Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Dr. Paul Mwambu, to be in charge of all necessary travel arrangements, including clearance at both Lwakhakha and Kenyan border points.
The Regional Police Commander of the Elgon region has been briefed accordingly on the travel arrangements and other itineraries, confirmed Mr. Masiga.
