The Kabale Diocese Vicar General, Msgr. John Vianney Sunday, cautioned Christians against switching faiths during the confirmation ceremony at Buhara Parish in Ndorwa East’s Buhara sub-county on October 22, 2024.
Representing Bishop Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira, Msgr. Sunday addressed 430 youths confirmed in the Catholic faith.
In his homily, Msgr. Sunday emphasized respecting sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist as unchangeable marks of Catholic faith. He reminded the newly confirmed that they become church pillars, testifying to the Holy Spirit.
Msgr. Sunday stressed that life’s meaning is rooted in the Catholic Church, built by Christ, where believers encounter Jesus in the Eucharist.
He noted the Catholic faith uniquely possesses this sacrament. He criticized spiritual instability, urging Christians to resist switching faiths during challenges.
Ndorwa East MP Hon. Wilfred Niwagaba and Kabale District Woman MP Hon. Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira promoted National ID registration, highlighting its mandatory use for hospital services and school attendance starting next year.
