Katakwi, Uganda:
A total 2,000 youth across Katakwi district in Teso region have endorsed the Vice President of Uganda who also doubles and woman member of parliament for Katakwi district Rtd Major Jessica Alupo as their sole candidate for woman Member parliament for Katakwi come 2026 general elections.
Addressing the media in Katakwi the youth said Ms Alupo made Teso and Katakwi district to be in the map for being the first Itesot tribe to be appointed vice President the second highest office in the country.
Robert Okurut one of the youth said described the vice President who’s down to earth, adding that while at her home country she even plays football with boys and first ju game of girls un guarded.
“We love her, she not a segregative woman, approachable and hard working,” he said.
Betty Akeriaut another youth said actions of the vice president are soo unique in way that she dose not quarrel to anyone who fights her.
“We are all aware that many leaders of Teso are fighting her but she’s not bothered she upto to deliver service to her people of Katakwi, Teso and the country at large,” She said.
Pascal Ekelot another youth said whoever tries to cross infront of the vice president will be knocked down in the ballot paper.
“We determined to bring down those who are fighting the vice president just watch the space,” he said.
The youth also hailed the programs carrying by Dan Mulalu the Private secretary to the president in charge of mobilization whose also contesting for Ngariam county Mp seat against Minister Peter Ogwang.
They said Mulalu together with the vice President have a wider task to driver the people of Katakwi and Teso at large to the promise land.
