KIU Rangers Aim for Second Victory in Semifinal Battle with JT Lady Jaguars

In the second game of the National Basketball League Semifinal series, KIU Rangers will face off against JT Lady Jaguars at the YMCA court in Wandegeya tonight. KIU Rangers currently lead the series 1-0 after their victory in the first game on Sunday.

JT Lady Jaguars are determined to level the series and make it highly competitive. The head coach of KIU Rangers, Lutwama, emphasized the importance of not becoming complacent in a five-game series against a formidable opponent.

Lutwama said, “We shouldn’t celebrate too soon; we’ve just started a five-game series. We need to stay humble, focus on improving, and show respect for our strong opponents in the Semifinal.”

He also emphasized that past victories against the Lady Jaguars do not guarantee future success. The team is prepared for a tough challenge and has new strategies to counter the opposition.

Lutwama provided an update on the team’s status, mentioning that there are no injuries, and some players who missed the first game are now back. However, Flourence Nanyonga remains sidelined due to injuries from a recent accident, while Brenda Ayere and Patience Karungi have returned to the team.

A win in the upcoming game would put KIU Rangers in a 2-0 lead, bringing them one step closer to their first-ever National Basketball League final.
