Kush Air, a private South Sudanese regional airline, has today added another new route to its expanding East and Central regional network with the launch of its Juba-Entebbe route at Entebbe International Airport.
Flights on the route will operate three times a week, starting Monday, December 9, 2024. They will also regularly fly on Wednesdays and Fridays, with plans to include Sundays.
UCAA Director of Safety, Security, and Economic Regulation, Eng. Ronny Barongo, stated that Uganda will provide a conducive environment for Kush Air to operate, having met all the technical requirements to operate in the country.
The General Manager of Entebbe International Airport, Mr. Emmanuel Barungi, who represented the Director of Airports and Aviation Security, said that UCAA will continue to improve and upgrade facilities at Entebbe International Airport and regional airports to meet international standards and open new routes, taking advantage of the 58 bilateral agreements.
The DASH 8Q400 aircraft was received with a water gun salute at the function, which was attended by members of the Airline Operation Committee, led by the Chairperson, Ms. Maureen Kabura, ticketing agents, DAS Aviation handling services, airport staff, and other airport stakeholders.
