Lira City, Uganda – Government Chief Whip and NRM National Vice Chairperson for the Northern Region, Rt. Hon. Denis Hamson Obua, has kickstarted mobilization meetings ahead of NRM Presidential Flag Bearer Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s visit to the Lango Sub-region, which begins on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
According to Ajuri County MP, Hon. Denis Hamson Obua, His Excellency the President, starting from October 1 to October 7, 2025, will hold campaign rallies in various districts. On the first day, Wednesday, October 1, he will hold his first campaign rally in Amolatar District and the second rally later that same day in Dokolo District.
On day two, he will visit Alebtong and Otuke Districts respectively, with subsequent rallies to follow consecutively each day up to October 6, 2025.
Hon. Obua stated that Lango, Northern Uganda, and Uganda as a whole have achieved development due to the various initiatives led by Gen. Museveni in wealth creation and socio-economic transformation.
President Museveni will traverse all the nine districts in the Lango Sub-region, including Lira City, over the course of one week during his campaign.
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, a team from the Central Executive Committee of NRM and the NRM Secretariat convened in Lango at Tasha Hotel in Lira City, where fruitful mobilization strategies were agreed upon. The session included a message of wisdom delivered by the current National Vice Chairperson for the Northern Region, Rt. Hon. Denis Hamson Obua, as Lango leaders prepared for President Museveni’s campaign rallies.
As President Museveni prepares to visit Lango on October 1, 2025, local leaders are uniting to give him a massive welcome.
Government Chief Whip Denis Hamson Obua, who also serves as the Ajuri County MP, met with a team of NRM leaders at Tasha Hotel and urged them to coordinate and mobilize fully ahead of Gen. Museveni’s campaign rallies across their respective areas during the one-week campaign in the Lango Sub-region.
