A total of 247,728 pupils from private schools and others from Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools sat for the exams in 14,442 centers.




Girls constituted the majority at 52% (391,558 pupils), with boys making up 48% (357,789 pupils). Special Needs Education learners (2,436) and 79 inmates from Upper Prison School Luzira also participated.




In last year’s exams, girls outperformed boys in English, while boys excelled in Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies
