The Daily Monitor is in total panic after publishing invalid information about Hon. Julius Tumuhimbise. The newspaper pinned a photo of Hon. Julius Tumuhimbise, an aspiring Member of Parliament candidate for Bukanga North Constituency, on the front page of its issue dated 3rd July 2025, claiming that he is the Julius Tumuhimbise from Bushenyi District vying for the NRM presidential flag.
On the front page, the Daily Monitor used a photo of Hon. Julius Tumuhimbise of Bukanga North Constituency, while inside the newspaper, they featured the other Julius Tumuhimbise.
The intentions behind this publication by the Daily Monitor are not yet clear. However, it is rumored that the incumbent MP for Bukanga North Constituency feels threatened by the growing influence of Hon. Julius Tumuhimbise in the area, especially among the youth.
It is highly suspected that this misleading publication may have been influenced by the incumbent MP.
Our sources attempted to reach Hon. Julius Tumuhimbise, but information suggests he had no knowledge of the Daily Monitor’s malicious move to involve his image in the article.
CPA Julius, a member of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), is a staunch supporter of H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM government. He believes President Museveni remains the best candidate for the presidency.
