The State Minister for Education and Sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang, has assured the public of his commitment to fighting poverty at the household level.

Hon. Ogwang plans to allocate 3 million shillings to each newly created village in Palam sub-county and to identify the problems affecting the people.

The announcement was made on Saturday by Simon Ojaman, a representative of Team Ogwang, during a gathering where hundreds had gathered to pay their last respects to Gilbert Amaitum, aged 6, son of LC3 Moses Iteit of Ngariam.

Ogwang supported the family with five hundred thousand shillings towards the burial arrangements.

Martin Odaka Omedo, a mourner, emphasized the need for permanent plans by the government to stop cattle raiding in sub-counties such as Magoro, Okore, Ngariam, Palam Guya-guya, and other areas.

Hon. Winny Otwa, the LC3 Chairperson of Toroma Town Council, also stressed the importance of public participation in development, which is crucial for maintaining peace.
