Museveni Lauds Teso Farmers, Promises More Support to Agriculture Ministry

Fred Wegulo | Pallisa – President Museveni concluded his campaign tours in the Teso region with a lot of joy for the Ministry of Agriculture for work well done.

The President, who commissioned a rice plantation scheme in Bukedea and an animal breeding project also in Bukedea under the Ministry of Agriculture, made the boy from Rwakitura promise to fund the Ministry of Agriculture so that they can run the projects to improve the households of Ugandans.

These revelations from the Head of State show how he is impressed with the work of the Ministry of Agriculture compared to other line ministries funded to do almost similar activities.

“We are very glad that the Ministry of Agriculture has done this work excellently, and I believe we shall reap big as a community from Bukedea and Teso,” said Patrick Ouco.

Mr. Ouco said the rice plantation and the animal breeding centre were among the best projects the district has received under the NRM government.

Rose Akiteng, another farmer, said they will vote for the NRM President, Museveni, on 15th January 2026.
